Pipewall Sensing Trace Heating Thermostat for Non-Hazardous Area Applications
Thermon’s TC2 & TC2/XP Plus are pipewall sensing thermostats for frost protection and temperature maintenance trace heating systems where a high temperature limiter is also required.
The first thermostatic switch energises the heating cable below the controller setpoint, whilst the second switch de-energises if the temperature sensed exceeds the limiter setpoint.
The TC2 is designed to be wall mounted as standard but can be pipe mounted using an optional Thermon XP-1 stainless steel mounting bracket. The TC2 also comes with a PVC coated galvanised steel flexible capillary armouring complete with capillary gland and insulation entry device.
The TC2/XP Plus includes an expediter to allow for the thermostat to be installed directly onto the pipe and allows for one trace heating cable to enter and be connected within the enclosure.
On both the TC2 and TC2/XP Plus there are indication lamps for power-on and heater-on which are visible through a transparent cover. Both thermostats have non-metallic enclosures which are suitable for harsh industrial applications and are certified IP65 for protection against water and dust ingress.
