Sick Laser Sensors

Sick Laser Sensors

Sick offer a range of laser sensors which can be used for laser measurement requirements.

Laser level sensors are designed for bulk solids, slurries, and opaque liquids such as dirty sumps, milk and liquid styrene and operate in a similar way to ultrasonic sensors however, laser sensors uses the speed of light instead of speed of sound for measurement.

Laser sensors are fitted at the top of a vessel and fire a short pulse of light down to the surface of the contents and reflects this back to the detector, calculating the elapsed time and distance to determine the fill level.

Sick's range of laser sensors include the DMT10-2, DT20, DT50 and DT60 lines.
