ASCO 2005 - Hazardous Area ATEX Solenoid Valve Islands With G3 Electronics

Solenoid Valve Islands For Hazardous Area -  ATEX Category 3 Zone 2 & 22 Explosive Atmospheres

ATEX Pneumatic Valve Islands For Zone 2 & 22 Hazardous Areas

ASCO 2005 hazardous area valve islands with G3 electronics are certified to ATEX category 3 zone 2-22 for explosive atmospheres.

G3 electronics benefits can be applied to numerous installations - the manifolds of the ASCO 2005 solenoid valves don’t need to be dismounted so single compounds have an easy exchange as they are equipped with an integral electrical plug in.

For further information about flow control and fluid automation for water, steam, oil and gas applications, please see ASCO solenoid valves

What Is A G3 Solenoid Valve Island?

A valve island is a combination of integrated electronics and multiple ASCO solenoid valves which are connected to PLC or DCS by fieldbus. The main purpose is for controlling pneumatic equipment. A valve island with G3 electronics is comprised of an electrical module, communications module and pnuematics module.

ASCO 2005 valve islands when mounted in an IP65 or Ex e cabinet for gas can be certified II 3G Ex nA IIC T4 Gc X and for dust II 3D Ex t IIIC T85°C Dc IP65 X. With G3 electronics the ASCO series 2005 valve islands has enhanced technology in the form of graphic display (use to be LED indicators) and improved diagnostic functions.

Plain language messaging is supported by the display allowing diagnostic information at both the module and communication node level.

ASCO 2005 valve islands with G3 electronics are hazardous area certified to ATEX category 3 zone 2 and 22, allowing benefits of G3 electronics to be applied to a wider range of valve installations. When mounted in an IP65 or Ex a cabinet, the ASCO solenoid valves are certified II 3G Ex nA IIC T4 Gc X for gas and II 3D Ex t IIIC T85°C Dc IP65 X for dust.

ASCO 2005 valve islands offer increased intelligence in the form of new diagnostic functions and a graphic display in place of the usual LEDs.
