Heat Tracing Cable
Nelson
Frost Protection & Process Temperature Maintenance
Nelson offer the industry’s broadest line of heat tracing cables, controls, monitors and accessories.
Since pioneering the mineral insulated heating cable in 1952, Nelson have continued to research and develop new heating solutions while refining time tested performers, ensuring that customers never need to “force fit” a product to meet their specialized application needs.
From process temperature maintenance to frost protection, hot water supply, tank and vessel heating, frost heave prevention and more, Nelson offers a right fit solution for any heat tracing requirement.
Nelson CLT
CLT heat tracing cables are available with heat outputs of 3, 5 and 8 watts per foot at 10ºC / 50ºC and for both 120V and 240V power supplies.
CLT cables have a maximum maintenance temperature of 150ºF (65ºC) and a maximum intermittent exposure temperature of 185ºF (85ºC) and can be installed in dry or wet environments and also on a wide variety of roof materials for roof & gutter heating applications.
Nelson HLT
HLT heat tracing cables are suitable for frost protection and fluid temperature maintenance up to operating temperatures of 121ºC (250ºF) and can withstand exposure to temperatures of up to 191ºC / 375ºF.
HLT cables are ATEX and IECEx certified and can be used within Zone 1 & Zone 2 hazardous area applications and are available with heat outputs of 5, 10, 15 and 20 watts per foot at 10ºC / 50ºC and for both 120V and 240V power supplies.
Nelson LT
The LT heat tracing cable range is designed to prevent freezing and to maintain temperatures within Zone 1 & Zone 2 hazardous area applications.
LT cables are suitable for maintenance temperatures up to 65ºC and intermittent exposure temperatures up to 85ºC and are available with heat outputs of 3, 5, 8 and 10 watts per foot at 10ºC / 50ºC and for both 120V and 240V power supplies.
Nelson LLT
Nelson's LLT heat tracing cables are a variation of the LT range but with extended circuit lengths for continuous runs of cable.
The LLT cables are designed to prevent freezing and to maintain temperatures within hazardous area applications and are suitable for maintenance temperatures up to 65ºC and intermittent exposure temperatures up to 85ºC, providing 7 watts per foot at 10ºC / 50ºC when used with 240V power supplies.
Nelson MI
MI heat tracing cables are mineral insulated resistance cables and are ideal for high temperature, high power output industrial applications.
MI cables are custom made to suit client requirements with an Alloy 825 outer sheath and can be used for applications up to 600VAC. The heating cable is also approved for use within hazardous area applications.
Nelson NC
The NC heat tracing cable is a constant wattage solution for frost protection or temperature maintenance up to 149ºC / 300ºF and can withstand exposure temperatures up to 204ºC / 400ºF.
Nelson QLT
QLT heat tracing cables are suitable for frost protection and fluid temperature maintenance up to operating temperatures of 121ºC (250ºF) and are ATEX and IECEx certified.
QLT cables are available with heat outputs of 10, 15 and 20 watts per foot at 10ºC / 50ºC and for both 120V and 240V power supplies.
