What Is The ECA Water Scheme?

The Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) water scheme aims to persuade businesses to invest in technologies that improve water quality and save water.

Businesses can claim 100% first year allowances including tax relief on investments.

Only new plant and machinery are eligible for an ECA and all eligible equipment is found in the WTL.

To keep in line with progress, the technological criteria will be renewed yearly to keep pace.

ECAs are available on products and technologies that meet the specified criteria within the ECA scheme and are included on the WTL at the time of purchase.

The following technology areas are a small proportion of those included on the WTL:

  • Efficient showers, taps, toilets and washing machines
  • Leak detection equipment
  • Flow meters and water management software
  • Water management equipment
  • Water reuse system

Please contact T&D’s sales and technical department for more information on the ECA Water Scheme and on the products on offer that are on the ECA list of approved products.
