T&D were employed by the M&E fit out contractor to design and supply a water leak detection system to monitor CRAC corridors and generator switch rooms.

The generator switch rooms had a considerable amount of CHW pipework routed at high level which posed an immediate risk to switch gear cubicles and electrical distribution enclosures.

A leak detection cable was installed directly to all CHW pipework in these areas. The system installed is capable of pin pointing a leak to +/-1m which the client requested in order to locate the leak in the quickest possible time and thus prevent any significant damage and associated costs with downtime and repair.
