Drum Heater : Type HISD Insulated Heater Jacket

The HISD side drum heaters are a simple and effective method of applying heat to drums. Four standard drum heater sizes are available for 25L, 50L, 105L and 200L drums. The HISD insulated drum heater jacket is specifically designed for use with plastic drums but can be used on any containers where delicate materials require gentle electrical heating and warming. HISD drum heaters can also be used in conjunction with the HBD base drum heater to increase product heat up.

Non-standard drum heater sizes are also available upon request.

These low powered double insulated drum heaters are constructed to Class II for added safety. The heating element of the HISD drum jacket heating range is stitched into an insulated jacket made from a water-resistant, teflon coated polyester, insulated with glass filament blanket insulation complete with quick release buckles for ease of installation and removal. Drum Heater Jacket - Type HTSD Insulated Heater Jacket

The HTSD side drum heater has the same design and construction as the HISD drum heater jacket but instead of teflon coated polyester as the jacket material, it uses a silicone impregnated glass cloth.

Heater Jacket Control is via a 20 - 220°C thermostat.

As with the nylon drum heater jackets, the HTSD range is double insulated and constructed to class II electrical insulation. HTSD drum heaters include 3 meters of power cable and are available for 110 Volt or 230 Volt supply.

Attachment to the drum is by adjustable quick release buckles.

Four standard drum heater sizes are available as detailed below, non-standard drum heater sizes and ratings are also available upon request.

All HISD and HTSD side drum heaters are manufactured to conform to the EEC low voltage and EMC directives and CE marked accordingly.

Additionally for safety, it is advised that power to the drum heater be disconnected when the drum is either empty or being filled, or upon installation or removal of the heater itself. It is recommended that the unit be operated in a dry environment with the drum vented to avoid build up of internal pressure.
